Prior to President Trump's executive order barring refugees for 120 days, we had a very robust program of accepting and collecting donations of furniture and household items and using them to set up apartments for arriving refugees.  Now, since the signing of that order, we no longer anticipate any refugees arriving in Madison for the next four months and we have suspended acceptance and collection of all furniture and household items during that time.  We hope to resume this part of our program soon.

All donations of gift cards go directly towards supporting local refugees in the Madison area.  Click here to learn more about giving a gift card and where to send it.

If you are interested in joining Open Doors for Refugees, we would love your help. The organization meets the third Wednesday of every month at various locations around Madison.  Click here to view our meeting schedule.  Open Doors is broken into teams with specific tasks, so you can also join one of our teams to increase your impact.
